This gallery of images is the result of a twenty-year project that has led to the publication of six books and several photographic exhibitions.
The photographs are intentionally presented without captions indicating where or when they were taken, or which religion is depicted. Over this long period of research, my conviction has grown that faith—both individual and collective—responds to a need shared by all humanity.
Precepts, rituals, and prayers may differ, yet their deep roots reveal far more similarities than differences. In the search for meaning within chaos, faith often begins with individual prayer, where the most intimate forms of spirituality seek answers and consolation. It then unfolds into collective celebration, where belief becomes a shared symbol, an event, or a common set of values.
It is these shared elements—expressed through recurring gestures across different religions—that led me to explore diverse beliefs, places, and symbols, seeking the universal language that connects them.
